Just keep writing. But also, finish your stories. Even if you think they suck, finish the story, and then move on to the next one. This is advice I'd give my younger self if I could go back in time. I figure there must be other people who need to hear it too. Good article!

And I thought my family was into dark humor! This is about as dark as it gets. Worse than my father's Korea stories. Well-written, you paint such a clear and painful picture.

I'm long past the age of having to worry about such things but I read every word because we should all know that sex trafficking can start in unexpected ways. Also , it could have happened to me when I was young, lonely, and far too trusting of potential new friends. I'd have gone to the next bar, or to a party with a woman I'd just met if she was 'cool.' Glad I read this.
